I'm Onome. And I'm here because most nutrition advice wasn't built for Nigerians.
It assumes you have a Whole Foods budget, a personal chef, and access to ingredients you can't even find in your local market. Meanwhile, you're out here eating amala, surviving on Indomie during busy weeks, and treating garri like the love language it is.
I get it. Because I'm one of you.
I studied Human Nutrition & Dietetics for my first degree, then went ahead and got a masters in Public Health Nutrition - because I wanted to understand why so many Nigerians are getting sick from what we eat, and what we can actually do about it without pretending we're all going to start eating quinoa.
The way I work is simple. I start with what you already eat. I don't shame you. I don't hand you a meal plan full of foods you've never heard of. And I never forget that you have a budget, a job, a life, and a plate of jollof you're not giving up.
Your body is a temple. I'm just here to make sure you're not feeding it nonsense.
